(OnDating) In this episode of OnDating, Andrea Syrtash talks about several ways to get over the first date jitters.

You’ve met someone online and the two of you have agreed to go out on a first date. However, your nerves kick in and you start to have the jitters -- you’re sweating, you have a dry mouth, and you’re overall nervous. Syrtash reminds you that dating is fun and provides five tips (we’ve listed them after the video).

Here is Andrea Syrtash on First Date Jitters…

Here’s a recap of Andrea’s five tips for getting over First Date Jitters:

1) Be curious -- ask questions to get your date talking.

2) Do an activity instead of dinner.

3) Find common ground. Talk about what things you have in common.

4) Bring out your passion.

5) Remember that it’s just a date.

As a dating coach (for men) I´d like to give my 2 cents about the first date jitters.

It´s true what they say: good preparation is half the work done.

So, I always tell my fans and customers to prepare for a date. The best advice I can give them is: get in the mood.

Call one of your best friends, someone you always have fun with, and talk to them for a couple minutes on the phone.

Listen to your favorite music, watch your favorite show, etc. and enjoy!

    Why?

You´ll be more happy, more open, more social, and more talkative on the date and that seriously helps your chances. You´ll feel a lot less nervous because you relaxed BEFORE the date and go on one all relaxed and happy.
